    5.3 and 4L60E Swap

So I am wanting to swap my 5.7 TBI & 700R4 with a 5.3 & 4L60E. I am going to be making the swap in a 1990 K1500 short bed regular cab pickup. I am looking for any advice from anyone that has done this swap or a similar one to help the process go as smooth as possible.

I'm in the middle of almost the exact same swap, except it is a 1990 C-1500. Welcome to the site.

    Cool

Thanks...Yeah I think I have a lot of the issues worked out, but right now the biggest question I have is what to do about the A/C compressor, any ideas?

there is a way to keep your stock AC...it puts it on top of the motor without having to change the compressors

Basically you have a few options..
    http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/lsx-t...-solution.html
    or
Whats up with the AC, hope you have the answers - LS1TECH
    or
Kwik Performance, Inc. products - LS1 and big block Chevy
    or
    S&P's ~$700 kit
    or
There is a guy on pt.net that makes a high mount kit and sells it for $315. IMO I think it is the best option because it bolts right on with no modifications, it looks real good, and you use your own compressor. I have a link to it that I will l post tonight when I get on my own computer. (I'm on my phone)

I have a link for someone if you need it. He has good feed back. But i am about to have he outfit a wiring harness for me. He can delete anything you are not going to run like rear 02, EGR etc.. and also have a link for someone that can reprogram the computer to run with out what you have deleted. just hit me up if you need the info. positive feed back on both people and prices are good.
