AFR should be monitored on a wideband, but tuned via plugs. My truck has always liked things a little leaner (or maybe I do).

250 can be sprayed with a good tune up.

well thanks for the help guys, i guess im back on the hunt for more parts again. so what i have been told is that a stock lq9 short block can handle a 250 shot with a good tune up. will that engine live up to 7,000 rpm's with the right heads and springs?
