You would be one of 2 or 3 to ever do that to my knowledge.

If all you want is a power number then yes, I'd go with a huge cam like that. It's not going to be fast, but it will probably make the power you're looking for.

I assume you plan to go swap the heads and intake right?

Do you have any reason for trying to do all this with a 5.3L? It would be much cheaper to swap to an ls1/lq4/lq9 or bigger.

400 rwhp with a 5.3L and that setup is going to be impossible without forced induction or $10,000. The 4l80e has even more parasitic drivetrain loss than the 4l60e does and plus the 4.10s will also hurt you on the dyno.

I'm not sure if you've checked before, but most highly modified 5.3L trucks are making 340-360 and that's through a 4l60e.

If you want it to be fast then I would do something in the low 230s like a 230/236. Then I'd run an ss4000 converter at the least with some 4.56s.

That combo wouldn't be daily driveable, but it would be about as fast as you can make a 5.3L without dropping a ton of money.

if you want 400 hp from a 5.3, copy Lambodonomo's setup. Getting the heads ported is definitely a plus in your favor.

Thanks For The Help. I Looked For The 7.425 Length Pushrods On Jegs And Summits Websites And Didnt Find The Size. Where Can I Get The Above Mentioned Length Pushrods, Also What Is The Part Number. For The Valve Springs, I Am Assuming I Should Go With The Bee Hive Style. Can I Also Get The Part Number For The Springs. To All Who Are Helping, Thanks. Also Please Provide Websites(if Not In Jegs Or Summit) One Other Question: I Am Installing This Ls6 Camshaft, Custom Catback Exhaust And The Already Installed Cai, Should I Have Nelson Performance Advance The Ignition Timing 4 Degrees Along With The 93 Octane Custom Tuning For These Parts? Thanks In Advance.

Patriot Performance LS Series Gold Valve Springs - JEGS

I would just tell Nelson what you are installing and let him do the tuning. The Patriot springs will be good if you decide to change cams later on and go with something that has a little higher lift.

So are you installing a stock ls6 cam or that monster you posted earlier? They are on two different ends of the spectrum. The stocker is very mild and that other one is way too big even for a weekend truck.
