ive had this issue before, i swapped out colums and had the dealership reflash my pcm for the new ingintion because my truck wouldnt start. since i will be puttin the 5.3 pcm into the truck it wont jive with the ingintion/thieft system. ive also talked to three different tuners and they said they would have to reflash th pcm to bypass the thieft crap, maybe its not called VATS but it has to be done. also verfied by banker.

banker, did you have to mess with motor mounts? i wouldnt think gm would move there motor mounts around but never know.

and did you use your v6 converter? i thought about using mine for a slight stall over stock.

u will have to use the motor mounts for the 5.3 and pull the frame mounts out of the burban and use them in your truck, the 4.3 and 5.3 mount different on the frame

yes i used the v6 convertor until just recently when i put a stall in it, the v6 stall stalled up to about 2100....

and i dunno about pass lock and all that but in hpt its called vats...im sure they just use that term for whatever security system is on the pcm....all u have to do in hpt is select VATS enabled or disabled

Its it a pain to get the mounts off of the x-member? I know the 88-98 trucks make you hate the world when you do them.
