here is the start to my swap thread. no pics yet but some info. pics soon to come, maybe tomorrow.

i bought a 2002 suburban, for a parts truck to make the install ez'r.
here is what in goin to use.
    5.3
    harness
    computer
    motor mounts
    fuel lines
exhaust(unless i get LPP long tubes before the swap)
other stuff that i might need, this will be my first swap so i figured i waould buy a complete donor vehical just incase.

i might make another thread on swapping the complete LT interior over and to also to keep this a motor only thread.

Sounds like a solid plan. Can't go wrong with the entire vehicle in your backyard or garage. You should be able to take the entire "C1" and "C2" blocks or whichever ones you need out of the back of your original under hood junction block and "reinstall" the 5.3 "C"-blocks into the UJB on your truck, so as to not cut any factory wires for the 5.3 harness. Good luck!

    Dig the HD hood.

Got any pics of the 92 swapped interior? (currently fiddling with 95 swap in my 91)

that will be an easy swap for you because you have the entire vehicle. A year or so back I did the 4.3 to 5.3 in my 2000 truck and it wasnt too bad, just didnt have everything

hmmm will i have to take the pcm to the tuner before hand to get it tuned and get the vats turned off so i can even start the truck after the swap correct?

i was just planning on a dyno tune.

edit: i just called a tuner, he said to bring in my pcm and he will turn off the vats for $100
