I honestly am just trying to avoid spending the cash on driveshafts. If you can save alot of cash by moving something 2" forward why not? Maybe I'm missing something but how would driveability be affected by this? I'm not worried about LT header fitment.. Stock manifolds will be fine for me or even some mid length's. Please don't think I'm trying to argue I'm really just trying to understand.

I have a 6.5TD 94 Blazer that I pulled the 6.5TD/4l80E out of for a Cummins swap but that may be canceled. Would it be possible to use those driveshafts? I can't imagine theres much differences between the 2 vehicles driveline length wise.

The solution seems to be above. some times it pays to go ahead and spend a few bucks. trust me I know from experiance. Some things I have tried to go cheap on ended up costing me about 3 times the original cost.
99RCSB Broke because I wasted thousands and thousands of dollars on my truck.

Very True! I also know from experience. I was only trying to understand why no one was simply just moving the motor 2" forward. I'm hoping now the driveshafts out of my 94 Blazer will work on the 98.
