95 chevy finally getting the LS2

The truck is finally getting a LSx conversion. I started last night with pulling the old motor out. The TBI just wasn't cutting it anymore. I've been playing with a few different adapter plates to position the motor a little further back in the engine compartment. I actually think it is in a decent position now. Here are a few pics to get started.

Ill have to delay your finish time with $$$ but then you will buy more go fast parts. I am going to lose either way lol. Looking good.

Looks good in there. Did you do a crank spacer, longer bolts and flat flexplate so you can continue to use your stock transmission or are you going to swap to a 300mm style LSx transmission from something late model?

I've used a forklift as many times as a hoist (for my engines, not customers).

From the sound of it, you're gonna give him your 70 for part of what he's going to do for you....

it was a toilet for the motor, wasn't quite big enough!:ugh2:

The tranny I have in it is built, so I'm going to run it as long as it will permit. lol. I'm having Circle D build me a converter that will bolt directly to the dished plate and fit the older trans.

that extra inch of clearance in the front will be nice plus it will help with the weight distribution. :thumb:

Have you tried to fit the alternator to the engine with the new mounts? Its going to be hairy if you have fbody brackets.

I haven't tried the Fbody components, I have the truck stuff and it all fits fine with the exception of the AC compressor. I'm using the stock 95 one mounted up top on the pass side. It has tons of room between the accessories and the electric fans.

i was going to tell you to use the stock 95 a/c too, bc having that one on bottom stinks big time. I am going to have to ponder what to do with mine

What kind of throttle body did you get for that LS2 truck manifold? I just picked one of those manifolds up for my 02 and now I need a cable throttle body.

I bought a 90mm FAST TB, and the manifold is off a TBSS so the 90 fits it perfect.

Im using some modified Schonfeld LT headers and stainless 3'' exhaust. With 18'' Magnaflow mufflers...
