Ok my plan is a 402 plus shortblock. I am actually leaning towards the new L92 block bored to 418 right now but either way I am going with the new gm L92 heads and L76 intake. The intake comes with 40lb injectors and a 90mm throttle body. A decent streetable cam with be installed and im not sure about aftermarket rocker arms yet but possibly. What I want to know is if these 40lb injectors will be enough to fuel this pig?

thanks,
Mike

If it starts to run lean you can buy fuel rails, an external regulator and boost the fuel pressure up a little bit. The stock pump will put out a little more pressure. Are the injectors 40 pounds at 43 lbs or 58 lbs of fuel pressure? They should be fine considering how small the injectors are in the 6.0s, 5.7s and 5.3s.

The new L76 intake comes with the rails, injectors, 90mm throttle body, I believe a regulator and a few other things. I do not know what pressure the injectors are supposed to run at. I have to buy a new fuel pump anyways because this is going into a 95 gmc sierra originally with the crappy 5.7 TBI.

The person that can answer that best for you is your PCM tuner. But I do know that a lot of the 6.0L guys max out the factory 48-lb injectors with a Comp 273 cam, they get by on a BAP but the sharper racers switch to the SVO 49 pounders.

I thought they were more like 28 lb injectors.

My bad, thank you for the correction - I did not mean to misspeak - I had a mind fart there.

The stock injector size on the LQ9 is 26-lbs. Many upgrade to the Delco marine injectors but the SVO 49-lb injectors have shown to be a lot better performing -and- have better idle, albeit you have to rework your wiring harness.

Sorry again for my confusion.

hey i hate to jump in.

Red,
are the ls1's (f bodies) fuel pressure different from us trucks?
if so what are they?
the reason why i'm asking is b/c i'm doing the ls6 intake swap along with car style injectors that are factory rated at 28.8#'s
i know i have to change the IFR table but just wondering if the fuel pressure between the cars and trucks are different.

thanks in advance,
lance
