I picked up a LQ4 today for my own swap. It was out of a truck with a 4l80e. I am going to be running a new style round bellhousing 4l60e, Do I need to change the flexplate, or get any kind of spacer? Or should it bolt right up?

you'll have to see if you have the long or short crankshaft. Do you know what year model it came out of?

I have figured mine to be an 01-04 6ltr with the aluminium heads and cast block. My tranny is an 04 4l60e. I cant seem to figure out if I need to use the space when I swap my flywheel over...

I KNOW THE FLEX PLATE ON AN 80E HAS SIX BOLTS AND A 60E HAS THREE, ON THE CONVERTER. RED YOU TAUGHT ME THAT. IF YOU HAVE THE 60 E FLEX PLATE YOU SOULD BE O.K.. IF THE MOTOR IS NEWER THAN AN 01 IT SHOULD BOLT UP. OLDER ENGINES WHERE THE CRANK STICKS OUT IN THE BACK, ARE THE ONES TO WORRY ABOUT. NEWER ENGINES CRANKS SIT FLUSH WITH REAR MAIN BEARING HOUSING. THE OLDER NES STICK OUT ABOUT AN INCH.
