FLT level 5 4l65e?

I have a 94 chevy Z71 and i am planning to put a lq9 in with a magnacharger 9-10psi, with a vigilante 3000 stall converter. I would like to start getting the stuff i need together piece by piece to help the wallet out a little bit. My question is, I was wondering if i could use the FLT level5 4l65e on my stock setup for now until I have money for the engine swap because my current tranny is fixing to go and i see no point in rebuilding when its going to be replaced in about a little less than a year. I have the stock 94 Chevy V8 tbi 350. Thanks for any advice.
