Any one had a tranny dipstick feel stuck before? I unlock it and go to remove it, but it feels like it's stuck solid. I'm over due on checking it, and wondered if anyone had any tricks to try.

Try twisting it back and forth. If you still can't get it unstuck you might unbolt the whole tube and pull it out of the tranny then you could push it up..

Yes, after having the trans built in my Z-71, it was "hard" to pull out, just be easy on it and pull it out firm, it will be ok!

Once you get it out, wipe some white lithium or vaseoline around the rubber seal. You may be able to heat it a little with a heat gun to loosen it.

When you release the lever, you have to shove it downwards to release the dipstick, then pull it out. It's part of the locking mechanism.

Right on guys, finally came out no sweat. I hadn't popped one of those in a while and probably would have ripped something apart if I didn't check here first. Fluid is burnt as hell and needs to be changed immiediately.
