I just finished up putting an ls1(freshly rebuilt) in my 02 Silverado. Im trying to figure out the best way to break it in. Ive heard to bring the engine up to operating temp and then take it up to 2k for 20 minutes or so. Also heard to take it out and run kinda hard, varying the rpms. Whats ya'lls recommendations? thx

just drive the hell out of it. The 20 minute thing is for non-roller cams so you burnish the lifter to the cam. You don't do that with the newer engines.

Got another question regarding this. During the breakin should leave my front o2s unplug? Its untuned at the moment but im not running any cats, have bigger cam and I believe there may be some exhaust leaks.

No, keep your front O2s installed and hooked up. It'll never go closed loop without them and the fuel mixture will be much more accurate with them.
