I have a 03 reg cab that is bagged . I am switching out my parallel 4-link to a triangulated 4-link which means the stock gas tank has to go. I already made brackets so that it will mount behind the axle on the two crossmember/supports i fab'ed up. My question is what needs to be done in order to move/lengthen the sending unit back 4 feet. Can I just get longer fuel lines and extend the connector. I am kinda a noobe when it comes to this. Alos could someone explane the lines to me. looks like an in/out fuel line dont know what the other is and what the connector is for? Sry for this long post any help is appreciated. Thanks

Should have fuel Out, In, and vapor line. The vapor line is to pull the fumes into a charcoal canister and eventually burn the vapors in the engine.

Thanks, I guess the one seperate in the back of the tank is a vent line, But what about the two connectors. I guess it wont be that big a deal just buying new lines, I am mostly concerned about how to extend the to conectors. What gage of wire should i use and can it be any kind of electrical wire. I dont want to put a wire that is to small and it cant send the right voltage or somthing. Any segestions

One question. Why all the trouble for the swap? Is the triagulated link that much better? From what I know about them they each have only minor advantages and disadvantages over one another? Just curious.

True, they are pretty much the same, but being that my truck is on airsuspension I cant get full travel out of it b/c it binds up. But with a triangulated it allows for much more travel/flex (it wont bind). Pluse I lay frame and showering sparks on my plastic fule tank isnt all that great. And moving it to the back is better weight ratio, i corner my truck pretty hard and i get insane over steer.

Clarify your needs. Post pictures if you have them. Part numbers, too. What do you need help with?

Extend the wires by using good quality nickel wire the same size as the wire that is in the original harness. If you must use copper wire, get one size larger. As for hoses, you may be able to get steel hoses at you local Orielly store, already made up to specific lengths. You'll need a union to tie the original line to the new line. You can buy rubber hose to extend it but its getting hard to find rubber hose good for 60+ lbs of pressure unless you buy hydraulic line.
