I have 3.73's right now in my truck and am seriously considering going with 4.10's. I saw a set of Richmond's on Speed Engineering's site for $160.00 seems like a good deal.

What can i expect from changing from 3.73 to 4.10?
    Thanks Guys,

Bald tires and more frequent visits to the gas station.

It should help you out of the hole during your launches. Probably no more than .05 off your times though. You'll be bouncing off the rev limiter at the end of an 1/8 mile track.

I figured it would at least give you .2 tenths in the 1/4 mile over the 3.73's.

If that is the only gain, I don't think it would be worth the trouble of swapping them out. IMO

Plus i will probably lose a considerable amount on the top end.

Thanks Red, your always a good help.

You really need to take two steps to feel a real difference. Consider 4.56s.

If i did that i would have no top end, it probably would not go faster than 120MPH. What do you think?

Actually with tires that tall you will gain gas mileage. I love my 4.10s

Here's your shift points and stuff if you ran 4.56s with those big-assed tires and wheels. I'd go for the 4.56s since you have those huge tires.

    shift rpm---rear gear--trans ratio--tire diam--mph--next gear rpm after shift
    6000--------4.56-------3.06---------31.606-----40.4--3184
    --------------------------1.625--------------------76.1--2569
    --------------------------1-------------------------123.7-4175
    --------------------------0.696--------------------177.8
