Do all the truck engines, or those with truck intake manifolds, have a vacuum regulated fuel pressure regulator? Our LS1 engines don't have the vacuum type fuel pressure regulators.

I can't speak for "all" but I have a 2002 5.3 in a Tahoe and a 2003 5.3 from a Silverado and both have a vacuum regulator on the fuel rail.

The LS1 compensates for low vacuum and boosts the fuel output in the PCM. I wonder why the trucks do that the old fashioned manual way.

I opted for the 97 vette fuel rail with the vacuum regulator in it. Don't ask me why, I just did it.

your 1997-1998 corvette and 1998 camaro/firebird had a dual line (return line) with an
external fuel pressure regulator.
the 1999-2003 gneIII truck engines (4.8/5.3/6.0L) have an adjustable fuel pressure
regulator with vacuum regulation (5-8psi)

My '98 F-body engine doesn't have a dual line fuel rail. I believe it used a regulator at the fuel pump and a single line to the rail, but I won't swear to it.

97-98 Corvettes are the only LS1 engines I know of with a feed and return line on the fuel rail. My (2) 98 T/A engines had a single inlet, also.
