New to the site and just looking around, I have just purchased an 82 chevy short wide that needs a little warming up. The old 350 /350 is on its way out and I'm thinking a ls1/t56 any other opinoins would be appreciated. ( fitment and difficulty of conversion)

Welcome! An Ls1/T56 would be sweet! You can also go with an LS2 or LS7.
