    hey guys a few questions, im new to the newgen trucks, the my last trucks were 454ss's and tbi wasnt worth realy playing with, first off my truck is a 04 4.8 with the 5sp, 1 i want to know how you run no cats with out disturbing the pcm and 2 how much work would a t56 swap be, are the tailshafts the same and would the driveshaft need to be shortened, and what flywheel should i use? thanks

    im not a yoda TX is talking about but welcome!.
    2001 GMC Sierra C3 with the 6.0! Vararam King Cobra, TB bypass, No cats with two 3 inch cut outs and thats it for the motor. FOR NOW ATLEAST!!

    Hello I am also a newbie as this is my first post .... I had the same questions about the transmissions as I too have a nv 5 speed in my 02 scss with a 4.8l .....so i'm also waiting for the guru's to post, but in the mean time I can tell you that you need to get 02 simulators for the truck to run efficiently. I deleted the cats on my truck and installed removable pipies for when i go to "the track" but i never swap them out w/the cats it sounds so much better w/o them however my truck runs real real rich! i think the 02 sims are about a hundred bucks...but i think you only need to get one (not sure though) for the 02 sensor behind cats
