Motor is in, running, sounds awesome. Installed intercooler. T74 turbo is in. Motor revs like a freakin' race car. Went to put in gear and all hell broke loose. Apparently the torque converter (TCI), wheather by installation error or mechanical damage, welded it's self to the output shaft on the tranny. If no damage to the tranny, will just replace the TC.

Silver lining=the installer said he'd "give" me a Yank 3200 to replace it.

I have faith in his work so far.

Check out sig for new motor specs!!!

Sorry to hear about the crap convertor. You'll be happy with the Yank. Can't wait to see the numbers or to see it run.

Still have the T-60. Looks like a piece of metal (piston) bent up the exhaust side. A local turbo shop says they can upgrade it to t67 for a couple hundred bucks.

STS can usually resale Gt67s pretty easily with a GT76 swap. The 60s aren't too valuable to STS but you could always sell it on ebay.

'97 Burb with 139K miles LS1 or STS kit or Gen IV 6.2L, etc...?

Brandon, you will love the Yank. It should be looser and stall better and easier. Still sucks though. I am ready to see some results.
