Got the A/C to work on my 5.7 LS1. Here are the pics. Got the suspension back underneath it and it's ready for the motor. Here are the pics of the A/C. I need to get a little longer belt, the truck is just a little bit long but not by much. Let me know what you think.

That belt might be the correct length with the other idler pulley. There should be two small pulleys.

    Hey Nitro,

These look really, really good!! Everything is really tidy and the tensioner is in a good spot. With this kind of proximity, do you think there will be more or less stress on the tensioner? To me, it would seem that there would be less since the length of the belt is short (compared to my install). I would think this would mean there would be less slack available, so the tensioner doesn't have to work so hard....

Did you make the mounts yourself?

    Good job!!

GMCwantsls1, This set up only comes with one pulley. I'll look again but the bracket I'm using isn't the 5.7. I'm using the truck tensioner, bracket and compressor but retained the 5.7 balancer with a little machine work. I'm sure the truck balncer is the difference in the belt length. The trucks I have at work only have one pulley on them that I can remember. The belt is around to 1/2 to 3/4" too long. The pulley is tensioned almost half way.

93Ext5.7ltr, Yes I agree with you and I made everything myself.

Ah I understand now! You used the truck compressor and bracket on a f-body crank pulley!
