Hi,

Though I have a 6.0liter intake and use the truck intake, with the location of my stock 1993 A/C located at the top right (passenger side), I can't just put any air filter intake on. What have you guys done, if you have a similar setup?

    Thanx

You could do what I've been thinking about doing, move the battery to the driver side. The diesel trucks had batteries on both sides and you can get the battery bracket and tray to move it over there. I currently have my air cleaner on the driver side but I have the LS1 engine and it can go either way without issue, just building a cold air box is difficult and not commercially available.

    Hey RedHeartbeat,

My battery is on the driver's side now. It was set that way with the install.

However, I don't know how this necessarily helps me. I have not seen an inlet system where it clears my A/C fine and doesn't butt up against the Fan shrowd. Any pointers?

I would have hoped that the late model intake system would work fine once you got the right front corner clear.

Heres a pic of mine. I don't know if it will help. I just used some stuff I had laying around the shop.

Its not a good pic. I have a 90deg reducer elbow set at a 45deg angel . Then I have a 3in 90dek pipe with the MAF and filter on the other side. I used a cone shaped K&N filter. It does not touch the rad. shrowd.

If it comes done to it, you can give me some specs and I can have a custom air intake built .
Also I have alot of silicone and bends instock if you need.

    Hey, That does look NICE.

I might just take you up on that offer. I can't tell from the pic - maybe I'm not looking at it good enough - what did you do about the MAF?

I was hoping for and am interested in a Volant, if it would go in okay. But paying $$$ for "just checking to see if it'll fit" isn't what I'm interested in...

    Thnx.

Nice motor, BEATER! Got any more pics? What manifolds did you use (Think you told me, but may have forgotten)?

Thanks! I used a set of 99 steal f-body manifolds. I like them because there a littel more headerish looking. Nice smooth tubs instead of rough and square like the cast iron.

I'll be posting up some pics of my new 04 dash in a few days. When I do I'll take a few more shots of my motor. My only regret is I wish I would have gone with Allen's wiring harness. Mine looks like a**.
    SOON TO COME!!!!
