Just came over from ls1tech...for those of you who might not have seen my truck, here is a pic or two. I'm in the process of building an LS1 for the Sierra...should be pretty nice when it's finished!

That is one sharp lookin truck. You will really put the bling on it with an all aluminum LS1 and maybe some corvette coil covers.

Current best ET with the 4.8 is a 15.06 in cool weather. That was actually before the 212/218 522 529 114 cam.

The LS1 is getting a quick "freshening up" with a TR224/563/112 cam and some basic upgrades (oil pump, timing chain, etc.)

I'm planning on using the truck intake/exhaust for now so it's more stealthy, but I might get an LS6 or LSX intake and go that route. I will be eventually be getting FLPs, 2600-3000 stall, and a posi and 4.10s. I'd eventually like to hit low low low 13s on the motor. Maybe 12s.

If not on motor, maybe on some gas!??!?!?

    And yes, I'm from J-ville.

with that cam, stall, and traction 12's shouldnt be a problem.

my buddy here in Tallahassee, has that cam in his t/a..he pulled ~380rwhp with bolt ons(he's an m6) and he just bought the patriot stg 2 heads(2.02/1.6 5.3 heads) to go on over the weekend. his fastest run is like ~12.8 @ 114 w/2.5 60's on 315 nittos...that was @ g-ville i think.

when do you plan on having this done? or installed and runnin at a track? i may try to make it to g-ville to watch/run.

Just got the rings and injectors (8.1L) in this past weekend, so we're going to start assembling the motor this week/weekend and go from there.

I hope to have it at the track by the middle of November at the latest. I'll post here when I go.
