The greatest thing about the LS1 PCMs is I have never heard of having to do a crankshaft relearn operation to clear codes. Allen sent mine a couple weeks ago and it started right up. Now that it was running I found I had bad rod bearings and had to rebuild the engine. So much for salvage yard take-outs.

Have fun with that new engine combination. You should come out to RPM tomorrow for the Toys for Tots Dyno day and see some of their work.

There is a wire coming from the PCM that grounds out when there are diagnostic codes. I can't remember which wire it is that you hook it to in the wire harness behind the glove box, brown wire I believe.

All you need is a positive wire to a bulb and then ground it using the PCM wire for codes. It should light up when you turn the key on and then off when the engine starts if you're fortunate. You could just use a test light.

Yeah, there are quite a few of us "local". We'll have to do some track days around here. There are enough tracks locally.
