    Looking for a thread.

    It has been a while since I have been on here. I was thinking there use to be a sticky thread on the main page on building up an 6.0 lq engine with a stock bottom end. I am starting to look for engines and it seems that for what I can afford the 5.3/6.0 engines are going to be it. I would love to get a true LS engine but they are about 2000-2500 more for one of them. This is going in an 85 short bed C10. It is just going to be driven from time to time. Would like to put a nice sounding cam in it, headers and possibly a stall converter and probably look into putting a nicer looking LS style intake on it.

    I am open to anything as far as what engine I put into it but it looks like the LS engines are out just due to the up front cost of it.

    Anyone remember this thread? I am sure it was about building a high HP 6.0 with a stock bottom end. Not sure if it was a budget build type of thread or what it was. It has been a while since I read it. I am almost positive that it was on the main page along with the AWD conversion at one time.

    Well I guess I knew they were in the same engine family but not the LS1,2,3 etc which I refer to as the true LS engines. Lol. Thanks I will check that out. I have looked a little but have come up empty. I was thinking it use to be on the front page news. Maybe I am mistaken.
