    l92 heads/intake

hey guys. i'm sure this has been picked over many times. but just want a specific answer. i picked up a set of 821 heads for my lq9. came out of a 2010 caddy. not exactly sure the milage but look to be in good shape. going to take them to a machine shop to have them inspected to make sure they're in good order. but would like to know if its fine to not have them machined? i didn't see any major nicks or anything in them. been reading a lot about ptv clearance. should i have any issues with stock ls3 gaskets if they don't get milled? or if they do get milled just to have a fresh surface, what gaskets should i be looking at? i plan on running the 228r cam from tsp. not going for something huge. just streetable. with some fun added in thanks guys. any info would be appreciated.

Most stock heads are gonna look in good condition, just the way these heads are; they are great.
I've had heads slightly cleaned, just enough to clean them up, less than .050 or so.
NO issues with that 228 cam, if you wanna verify, go for it, but that cam isn't big enough to cause any ptv issues.
LS3 gaskets are fine and probably preferred.

A good set of springs is needed. Other than that, you're good to go; pretty typical setup.

Sweet thanks for the help! Just most of the posts Ive been reading about guys are running bigger cams. So as long as I don't need to worry they're good to go. any idea what kind of numbers Id be looking at with that setup? Most I see are ball parked 450rwh?
