going for it lq9 /1995 silverado

i have read until my eyes hurt and taken notes on it all this winter my 95 silverado is getting a lq9 . my 4l60e has been heavily modified to handle extra power as has most of the drivetrain gears axles locker ... i am going with nelson performance to handle the wiring and dirty dingo for the mounts stock radiator should handle cooling.. all the threads have been very helpful but some info conflicts other info who can help me the most? i have questions whats needed to run current 4l60e? stock exhaust manifolds off ??? or buy custom headers? smog is not an issue where i live so i can delete egr and have custom tune to best use what i have,,, where should i go for that? i want to leave engine internally stock but externally is open game.. a complete list of needed mods would be a dream cuz looking at so much info and trying to pick and choose whats best for my application gets to be a little stressful thanks in advance for helping the new guy to your page..

not sure how the stock fuel pump is setup on the TBI trucks so I cant tell you what fits the stock sending unit but if there isnt anything out there then you may have to swap the sending unit and possibly the tank for a Vortec style one. An OEM Vortec fuel pump will run the 5.3 with no issue.

The fuel pump should be fine. Unless its old then swap it out for a new one. I am running my stock pump on my LQ4 and it is plenty. All stock except for CAI and headers. The new ECU should be able to control it. Its all controllable with a tune. Headers are your choice. Depends on your location. Salt in the winter will eat them alive unless you dont plan on driving it in the winter.
Been lurking since 09 and I finally have my kickass 6.0 LQ4
LQ4 LQ9 6.0L Engine Service Manual Save to your computer in case it disappears

I am almost done with a 5.3/t56/14bolt swap into my 95 ecsb. 95 is still TBI so your fuel system operates at about 10-12 PSI IIRC. So you will need a stock vortec 96-98 fuel pump because the ls engines need 58 PSI. It is AcDelco Ep-381. Or you could go for something like a walbro 255 if you plan on more power in the future. Here is a link to my build thread, I haven't gotten around to starting one here yet. I also stopped posting as much in it. I can try to answer whatever questions I can, but remember I did a t56 and was 5 speed to begin with so I can't help with that.

Going 6.0 locating fuel pump isn't an issue. Even swapping the tanks isn't an issue if need be. What about tranny issue ? No salt here. So no worries.

    6.0 4l60e specifics.

Few more specific questions for you who have done it. What fuel pump will run my 6.0 but will fit in the tank of a 1995 silverado ?? And. What's required to bolt my built 95 4l60e up to my 6.0? Spacers? Parts from the 4l80e that came behind the 6.0 ?

    Have you read this?

If not read it at least 5 times. You'll get more from it each time. That should answer some of the questions you have.
