Im new here and considering a 5.3 or 6.0 swap. Poor lil 305 showed its age during this recent snow.

I have 95 K1500 ECSB 141 wheelbase (IIRC) with the NV3500 and new process transfer case. And it has 3.73 gears.

I wanna keep the manual trans. And run EFI (I already have HPT Pro... )

Of course, I will be doing a bunch of searching and stuff. Since its 4WD, I know Imma have issues with headers and exhaust.

I wont bug yall with a million questions. I do know how to search. LOL

The only question I have is... How do you 4WD boys enjoy your trucks after the swap? LOL!

I love it!!!!. I kept it totally stock, right down to the exhaust system. More power and better mileage. I couldn't be happier.

No, I didn't write one up. I took some pics along the way though.

In order to accomplish the job, I did alot of reading on this forum and at LT1swap.com.. Lots of useful tips from guys here and Brendan at LT1swap.

main thing about 4wd is to go with the pacesetter longtubes instead of the schoenfield. part number is 70-2265
