Drag radial ? When are they toast

For those of you who are running drag radials, at what time do you trash them? I've heard/read conflicting information. Some say run them till the belts show, others say to run them until there is no more tread left. So what's y'all's opinion and what have you seen work best?

I'm in for info to. I run dr's as a daily tire on one truck. I run till no tread shows but not till cords show

Yeah, I wouldn't run them down that far, but I'm wondering how much useable rubber there is once the tread grooves are gone.

tread design is a indicator once its gone tires or worn ! slicks use a hole or dimple or whatever you wanna call it once its gone there worn also.

Depends on the tire. But on the mickeys, i'll run them till the threads show...they'll hook even then! Lol. I replace mine every year when racing competitively regardless of thread depth though
