My 04 has developed a clanking noise upon take off every so often,
It usely only does it when the truck is first started and driven a few feet.
There is no loss of power and the transmission isnt slipping, just a rather weird noise.
And it feels like everytime I try to show let somebody else here it, it doenst make it, it kinda sounds like if you were to put a baseball card between the spoke of a bicycle wheel.
Any help on figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.
Just drive it if its something serious itll eventually make itself easily identified

The difference between winning and losing, is having a 2nd stage.
I have been; just really annoying and it catches alot of looks from people leaving the gas station.
Start by putting some grease on the splines of the yoke in the trans see if it helps any.
Or just rebuild the driveshaft
