Running a CTS-V accessory drive
Hey guys, been having power steering problems with the CTS-V accessory drive and finally fixed it so just wanted to share what I did to solve the problem. The CTS-V and many other Cadillac pumps use a quick connect pressure line that goes into the pump. I tried using a truck pump valve but the threads must be very slightly different because I stripped out two pumps. All I did this time was take the quick connect fitting out of the factory valve and screwed in a 3/8" fuel line, did a double flare on both the fuel line and my factory 4.3 pressure hose and joined them together with a 3/8 union. Worked great, and no leaks!
