Well, I've been keeping an eye on this site for a few years. Gotten ideas here and there. But I want to get more proactive. Meet some people in the area and go racing or cruising. Dispite gas prices, I've had fun with my truck. 10 years of searching, I found it. Yes 10 years haha. It started as a fully loaded 1999 chevy silverado 4.8l 5 speed 4wd. I got it while I was in afghanistan. Sent my wife at the time to denver to pick it up. She was mad. I don't care. I bought wheels, tires, taillights, HIDs, turn signals, exhaust, computer from wait4meperformance, gauges, and a few other things. In my divorce, I only got my truck and some clothes. Good enough haha. I was a fabricator for elite diesel for 2 years, now at avenger 4wd. Ok, back to the truck. It now has a 6.0l lq4, and I just put in a th350. I blew the clutch and found the trans for $100. So, being broke, I made that work. Its also now 2wd. with the 6.0 and five speed, I got 28mpg on the freeway. Not so much now. But I'm not worried about burning up my clutch when I put slicks on. So screw it. Anyway, heres the pics. Let me know what u think. Im sure I forgot a lot too, oh like I did a 4.11 posi out back too.
