Thread: 4.3L TO LS1 SWAP

    DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH HARDER IT WOULD BE TO SWAP MY 4.3L FOR AN LS1. I'VE BEEN READING IN OTHER POSTS THAT THE 4.8/5.3 LS1 SWAP IS PRETTY STRAIGHTFORWARD BUT WHAT ABOUT THE 4.3. I HAVE AN 01 SC SILVERADO AUTO.

    P.S. GUYS, I HAVE THE COMPLETE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE LS1 FROM A 02 CORVETTE. ECM/PCM, AND ALSO THE AUTO TRANSMISSION

    I don't see why it wouldn't be easy, all of those engine pretty much install the same way, you would need a harness, you got that, and the pcm from a v8, maybe the engine mounts too, but other than that, i don't see why not, go for it, it would be a huge increase in power,

    SO I WOULD NEED THE ECM OUT OF A 4.8 OR 5.3 TRUCK OR WOULD THE CORVETTE ECM WORK?
    HAS ANYONE ATTEMPTED TO DO THIS YET?

    You can use any of the pcms, matter of fact, i'm tuing this 4.8 and it has a problem i or others have never seen, here you go (don't be mad i posted on tech hahahah) problem pcm

    you'll see i put mine in there and now it works, the vette is the same thing, it did mess with his shift indicator, there isn't a box around the current gear he's in, it doesn't glow, if that makes sense,
