98 silverado ls1 or 5.3

Im not a baby don't want anybody to hold my hand but had 98 silverado with 5.0 init was having security problems so got mad pulled motor and trans out and sold it now am gonna buy a wrecked truck with a 5.3 or a trans am or Camaro with ls1 something of that nature my funds aren't huge but want to know how wire it pretty much using my trucks wiring and what computer will interchange just maybe somebody fill me in on the hidden secrets LOL I'm lost and o ya jk on the holding my hand I'm very I timidated by this swap! ?!?!???
