Question Where is the best place to spend my $$

I have an '02 Silverado 2wd ext. I can't decide where to spend my $ this time. The truck has aprox. 125,XXX mi. on it with all the original powertrain other than the cam, diff & carrier, and torque converter. would it be money well spent on say a set of SDPC CNC 5.3 heads, or an intake/throttle body, or should I save that until it's time to rebuild the eng. and adj. fire to the suspension like a 4-link. Would a fuel cell/pump assy. be better? Thanks in advance for any advice.

It all depends on what youre wanting to do....

Give some more info on your goals with the truck and Im sure there are plenty of people here willing to spend your money for you.

No specific goals really. Just to keep improving it. If I had to set a goal it would be just to build an all around well built truck, great to drive on the street, superb handling, no slouch on the strip, and a truck that might intimidate most cars (mustangs, challengers etc..). is that too broad?

I don't know anyone by that name. It's a 5.3 stock internals except cam (226/236 dur @ 0.050 and 0.525/0.525 lift), springs and pushrods. The external has all the bolt-on's i.e...long tube headers etc. the only bolt-on no yet installed yet is the U/D pulleys. Also have a ram air I made on it. 3" dual exh. dumped. Trans is stock 4l60e w/ cooler, billet servo's recalibration kit, Yank SST3200 converter. Diff. is 373's w/ TRU TRAC. Tuned w/ HPTuners by me.

Found this on a different thread he had posted....^^^^

Personally I think that cam/stall combo is kinda funky. Tons of duration for a 5.3 with very mild lift and a mid range stall. Also said in that thread that he had installed a Proflow intake and lost bottom end although he disappeared after people called him out on his claimed dyno numbers....

With 125k on the clock, I'm thinking the trans will be the first thing to make a lot of noise that it's not supposed to. My suggestion is a new, or even rebuilt trans.

OK, I hope I can remember all the stuff I've done but I'll try. Starting at the front it has a modified grill and aftermarket bumper both body color (black), e-fans, self fabbed ram air intake 4" steel pipe w/ K&N filter, Pace setter longtube headers w/3" dual exh. into 2 Flowmaster Super 44's 3" in/out dumped in front of diff. no cats, GMPP ASA cam (226/236 int/exh @ 0.05" duration 0.525" / 0.525" int/exh lift 110 LSA), Manley forged pushrods (stock length), GM (yellow) valve springs, 160* thermostat, Crane Firewire plug wires, E-3 plugs (not really impressed) Yank SST3200 torque converter 3200 stall, B&M street/strip shift kit, Trans-go billet servo's and "rod", 10" X 20" trans. cooler, Innovate Motorsports LM-1 wideband, '04 Denali interior w/ Bose front speakers & tweeters, Eclipse rear speakers and 2-12" Eclipse sub's and JL Audio mono amp, Alpine head unit, 2"-4" Belltech drop & shocks, track bars, shaved tailgate w/ top boltholes removed, steel roll pan, 3.73:1 Richmond Gear Truck Series gear set, Detroit Tru Trac, American Racing Torque Thrust II 20's, tuned with HP Tuners by me. That's it. I hope this is helpful and not too long.

I've never had my truck on a dyno, would love to though. The only power output info I have is the HP Tuners, which I doubt is accurate. I have a stock intake
