    Paint/ body shop help

Ok, first I need to know if its better to get my truck painted first then get the bed lined, or get the bed lined then painted. Im going to go over the rails with the bed liner to hide the waves on the top bed rails. Im thinking get the bed lined first then painted to lower the risk of the bed liner guy messing up my fresh paint.

Then I need a paint shop I can trust with my truck... Thats the hard part....lol.. It took me forever to trust Allen with it, and he's about the only one I do trust to leave it overnight with. Id like to stay in the san antonio area, but would go a little farther if needed. Thanks

Why not have body work done on the bed rails before it gets painted so you don't have to go over the rails? I don't mind it over the rails on a lifted or stock truck, but it'd look out of place on yours IMO. If you're keeping it the same color, I'd spray bed liner before paint like you said.

If it were me, I'd get it painted and put a bed rug in it.

Ya, I prefer the rails just painted and straight, but I know it's inevitable that someone will lean on the bed rails, and then there is a wave. I don't know... I might not go over the rails. Just makes it easier. I thought about a bed rug. But not sure how one would do at 200 mph. Lol

If you are going over the rails, I would have it lined first. The place we use here, will not line over fresh paint. They have to strip the paint off the rails, and the take a chance of messing up the new paint you just put on. Besides if your going back with black, when they cover it up the plastic is going to leave fine scratches in the new paint. Believe me I know. I have don't paint and body since 95' .

Maybe uve noticed. They've been sponsoring the race day as well.

Check out Gregg's hood stripes. They are under the clear, no eggshell finish. Looks good!
