    LY6 accessories on LQ4?

    I have a LQ4 from a 2003 2500 Sierra. I got this motor without any accessories.

My friend and fellow LSx engine enthusiast called me the other day and told me he has ALL of the accessories and bracketry from the later 6.0L the LY6. He also has the wiring harness for this LY6.

My question is this, will the brackets/accessories AND/OR the wiring harness from his LY6 work with my older LQ4????

One other question IF these can be used with an LQ4, he wants $150 for all the accessories and brackets, and only $50 for the wiring harness. How are these prices???? I'm still very new to the LSx game so I hope someone can help me out with determining how good these prices are.

    Thank-ya!

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I am putting this LS engine into my OBS (1990) Chevy 1/2 ton. I know the accessories from the truck motors are usually too high for the Fbodys and cars, but since I'm putting this engine into a truck I think it ought to work, no??

Also, will the LY6 oil pan fit my LQ4??? Mine is busted!

Sorry for all the questions but you gotta learn somehow!

It will all work. If it's a DBW harness you'll need to get the DBW throttle body and electronic pedal with controller box for it if needed.

Ok so the accessories will work. My LQ4 is DBC and I'm planning on keeping it DBC.

Are you saying that if the harness from the donor engine is DBW, that it won't work for a DBC setup???

I know it can vary depending upon geography in terms of where you're buying, but what do guys think about the asking price??

    ThankS!

Thats what I'm saying, if you want to stay DBC you have to buy a DBC harness unless you want to build the wiring for the throttle body stuff. That could cost you over $50 in parts alone. Around here it's about $150+ for a harness and $200 for a PCM though you can get them cheap on Ebay and NelsonPerformance can probably sell you one with a hotrod tune in it for that.

Sounds like it will be easier to find a DBC harness in my case. How about the accessories for $150?? Is that a reasonable asking price??? Includes: all brackets, water pump, P/S pump, A/C comp, HO Alternator, and apparently an oil cooler.

The LY6 harness would be set up for the 58x PCM anyway. Get a 99-02 harness and 0411 PCM and you will be good to go.
