Man I'm jealous. Hard to find one with no rust up north here. Especially for only 500$! T56 would be sweet but a 4l80e nice too. Depends on if you like shifting or not. Should be a sweet setup. You should do a thread on that brake setup. Good luck
and I call myself a mechanic...

Interested on how this is going to work. Have you done something like this before?

    thanks Bobby

    Art:
    NO I havent...

Ive done a Little R&R as I had a 96 2dr tahoe that I started a Big Brake Conversion on but I sold truck before finishing...

As of now (not 100% ) spindles should bolt up to Control arms , worse Case I might have to Taper for the Ball joints , as to Caliper mounting , I have to FAB up a bracket to mount on Calipers but thats cake!

wow, never thought to convert from OBS spindles to NBS spindles. Sounds like a ton of work and then you're facing 6 lug wheel rather than 5 lug, though you'll have a bigger selection of wheels but only a few 5 spoke options. Look at the Coys 5 lugs like DBRODS runs on his truck, they're awesome looking.
