    Question Manual Transmission question????

Hey guys ive got a very mildly built 5.3 in my 92 chevy truck and i bought a built t5 transmission for it. what do i need to use for a flywheel and a clutch? do i use a ls1 flywheel with the spacer in it, a old 82-92 camaro clutch and a ls1 stlye pressure plate? any help would greatly apreciate it. im sorry but please dont just post and tell me the transmission will never hold up or anything i know it will work. all im looking for is help on this from the pros. Thanks is advance!

Since the T5 is meant for the old SBC like the NV3500, I'd try using a flywheel from a 4.8 5speed truck. And the clutch from whatever the T5 came out of. This is just theory though.

Dude your truck is gonna be sick! but i gave up on the t5 idea. to much to convert and car craft is coming to soon for me to do the swap. but i found a great deal on a th350 tranny with a shift kit and a 2500 stall converter on craigslist. only $80!!!

    $80????????
Man ill give you $90 cash money!!!!!!!
    LOL

Let me know how it goes with that 350 and your 75-80 MPH rpm. I wanted to do that but remember on my old first 1990 that i put a 350 with a 2000 stall and the rpm's were crazy high at 75 mph

from what i understand, the T5 should use some of the same stuff a T56 would, so i'd say just get a 4.8 flywheel & try it. for my 5.3/nv3500 i just used a stronger 4.8 clutch/PP as well. it was the same stuff the 5.3 manuals used in 99. everything bolted up fine. i'd imagine your T5 should work the same
