    Transfer Case Torque Capacity?

What is a good "don't go beyond this" torque capacity for my transfer case? Looking for an approximate number ...

We've done quite a few with turbos and blowers, anything less than that it'll be fine.

I guess that's a large amount of increase to play with and nothing close to what I was thinking. I know the tranny will have to have work well before I get anything close to that, lol!

I have put some 600+ tq numbers thru my TC to the wheels. Used to hav NP261LD, now I have a NP241C since I up those TQ numbers. Both have served well. The 241 is bulkier, bigger chain, heavier!!!

Havent found yet the "don't go beyond this", but I assure this year I'm gonna find out. I'll keep posting !

I don't think I'm going to drop a Cummings Diesel in this truck, so I doubt I'll ever have to worry about it if this is true. Holy crud ... that's a lot of torque, lol!
