    LQ4 in progress, E-town - KY

I am currently working on swapping the LQ4 from and 04 Yukon into my 92 C1500 RCSS. Not planning on anything wild, just going for a super clean swap.

Four months ago I was researching and budgeting for a 350hp TBI buildup because I had been tuning with the TBI system for over a year and was pretty comfortable. I quickly realized that I was going to have to spend more money than I felt comfortable with on a FI system that while cheap and reliable, is 20+ yrs old.

So one day my dad mentions putting an LS engine in, I quickly found my way to the forum and have been reading ever since. I have to say that out of all the forums I am a part of LS1Truck is by far the most helpful and professional. You guys rock!

Last night I pulled the 6.0L and harness out of the Yukon and can't wait to start prepping them for install. Looks like my parts discount at Napa is going come in handy.

Welcome and congrats on the swap. Normally its the younger generation trying to convince the older that this is the swap to do. It's nice to see things turn around.

Cool, I will have to keep an eye out for him. I noticed in your sig that you have an S13 awaiting an LS swap. Thats a pretty popular swap in the Central Ky area. I know a few guys that have done the swap, everything from a stripped down S13/Ls1 with wide body and cage to an S14 with a 408. The guy that built the 408 is currently working a turbo LS 240z drag car, should be pretty sweet when he finishes it.
