Hey guys i'm new to the site but have been searching around for a couple of weeks before i tear into my swap. i just mainly want some confirmation on a few details. ok first is my tranny will work just fine if i install a tcc solenoid? Ive also read that the factory power steering lines will hook up to the new pump? Also does anyone have any pictures they can post of their custom mounts for mounting the old ac compressor to the new set up? Thanks alot in advance, Josh

75 views and nobody wants to help.... lol i don't want to keep the 350 i have the lq4 already and a stand alone harness i just need some help with details, one other question is which set back motor mounts do i need? i have some 1 inch set backs from the 6.0 bein in my 79 camaro. which i never finshed. Which trans? I'm not sure on the lines as far how they hook up. There is a sticky here that shows basically every possible option you could have. There is also a very recent thread in the garage section by 93ND that shows the options for the AC stuff. I just don't feel like looking it all up when you are capable of doing so. Hey guys just giving you an update. I sold my 79 camaro and funds for the swap are in hand! I have done alot of reading and am in the process of making a shopping list. I already have a harness i bought off ebay a while back, if i remember right the guy said it was a hot rod lane harness? It came with a computer with vats deleted and set up for a 5.3, but some of the labels on the wires came off so maybe i can get some help from em. I think i an going to get the dirty dingo truck mounts, and for fueling a corvette filter setup like in the sticky with a walbro 255. Any word on if NITROUS has the header to fit my truck? i remember reading an older post that he was working on some. I will continue to update and will post pics later, any input or suggestions is appreciated! -Josh

A few pics of the 6.0! First one is when I picked up the motor in dallas. Came out of a 2004 3/4 ton Chevy rail road truck with 110k miles. I took a peek inside and everything was actually clean and looked to be in good shape.
The other picks are after some clean up and paint and The last is my wiring harness which still needs a little work.. Oh yeah and i won't be using the moroso fabricated pan i'll be using a truck pan so if you know anyone wanting one let me know! its the hot rod one made for ls motors in older cars.

Hey Josh, I've read your post a few times. Nice clean truck your working with. You had asked me about gauges. We had all of the gauges except the tach in my dad's 95 working. Then one day the speedo just quit. Not sure if it burnt up or what, but had good clean signal all the way to it. We are in the middle of doing a custom gauge package from Dolphin gauges in that 95 right now. It comes with its own sending units and shipped to my house for right around $275.
