    TAC module ?

I purchased an L33 5.3 engine out of a 2005 Silverado to swap into a '91 ecsb chevy. The engine came with wiring harness and ECM. Now I'm scrounging the rest of the parts for the swap. Does the '05 Silverado use a seperate TAC module, or does the gas pedal required for that year connect straight to the ECM?

Do not try to connect it straight to the ecm. Those ECM's don't have enough voltage like the newer style.

These ETC parts are very specific, do not try and use the parts other than what I am going to tell you here:
You need TAC module # 12588923. Used in 03-05 Trucks.
Pedal w/PPS 15264643 must be from an 04-05.
Harness connecting the Pedal to the TAC #15118849, From a 03-05.

    Good Luck!

Thanks for the part #'s and information. I have read in a couple of places that beginning in '05, the seperate TAC module was not used, but wanted to double check before I go back to the salvage yard and start spending $.

That depends on what model you are talking about. The GMT800 trucks all have the TAC if they have ETC. The Trailblazer did get the newer PCM and no TAC in 05 I think.
