Swapped the 4.3 for the 5.3. Install went great, running flawless from the start, except... There is a strange "flapping" noise coming from the intake. Deep inside the intake towards the back. I hear it at idle, audible from the cab even. Any ideas?

Ummmm, Bird??? I have no idea!!! Have you taken the TB off and looked? Maybe take the intake off and see what's goin on.
Thanks for the idea, haven't done much investigative work just yet. Any gaskets that need replaced if the intake comes off?

You are the man! Thats what it was. More of a pumping sound than flapping I guess. I was kinda thinkin that it might be this, because it was the only thing i didnt have hooked up, and the only code I'm getting.
