    AWD to 4x4 conversion

I am looking into buying a 01 yukon denali i really dont want the AWD because it'll be slow haha so i was wondering what it would take to convert it into 4x4
4x4 transfer case,4x4 buttons and wiring, and what else? new driveshaft maybe

The conversion is not going to make it any faster at all. Plus it will add weight.
Trasnfer case, drive shafts, a ton of wiring, transfer case control module, front diff, and I am sure some other things I don't know about.

If you are wanting to make it faster (debatable) make it 2wd, not 4wd. At least you will drop weight that way. 2wd front hubs and a 2wd trans and driveshaft would get you there.

i just converted my yukon to 2wd and i must say it was a huge pain in the ass for no noticable increase in acceleration, despite losing a couple hundred pounds. I put it back to 4x4. Just leave it alone, if you want to make it faster, give it more power.
