    tie rods

Well I have been needing to replace my inners for quite a while and just havent been able to. Took my truck to the tire shop last week to have the tires rotated/rebalanced cuz I was having some nasty wheel shake and while I was there I had them get me a price on replacement and an alignment...$372. I did some looking and thought to myself, why not get some heavy duty tie rods and do them myself?

So I was searching and came across these two options....just wanna hear what you guys think of each kit.

    Option 1:
    Cognito kit

    Rare Parts kit
(all i can find is this video link that somewhat explains it)

A guy did this on here. Look in the 4x section and he shows how he made his own.

ive been wanting to do this and replace both upper and lower control arms
i have 136,000 on the truck now and i think its a good time to replace those...
id prefer the tube look of an airbag setup of control arms\tie rods, etc..but i cant find that style for non airbag setups..

I remember that. I was just seeing what people thought about the difference of the two kits above.

Im remaking the kit, since i don't like the old design. The only pic i have is the inner hiem joint bracket.

I machined it out a solid piece of cold rolled steal. im done with my kit but i haven't had my camera so i cant take pics. The kit consists of 4 3/4 Kevlar hiems, 5/8 bolt going into the knuckle, 1 inch steel rod as the tie rod it self. And 3/4 bolt holding the hiem to the bracket.

It was about 101 bucks, the heims being the most expensive part.
