PCM control ABS / module? drum->disc

Okay, my pickup is an '06 1500 WT, built with rear drums and 13" front rotors. The "new" rear axle is disc.
I asked around about master cylinders and proportioning valves. I was told that the master cylinder is the same for either style of rear brakes, and that the proportioning is done by the ABS module on the frame under the driver's seat.
I got an ABS module from a '99 or '00 Silverado 1500 with rear discs, and 12" front rotors, and I even cut the wires to it so I could have the pigtails / connectors, just in case.
But now that I'm about to do it, it occurs to me that maybe the PCM needs to know that the rear brakes are now disc, not drum? Does anyone know?
Disc brake calipers differ from drum brake slave / wheel cylinders in 2 important ways. First, the calipers take more fluid volume per pump of the pedal, and second, drums lock up at half the line pressure of discs.

The PCM doesn't care if you have brakes at all.
There is a screw in proportioning valve on those units. You might be able to just switch that between the 2.

So I just re-installed the '06 Sierra's PCM, which I just had tuned by www.gmtuners.com.
The test-drive was too short to check the gas mileage, since I only went about 9 miles.
But this is the best $85 investment possible.
The previous tuner left the shifting a disaster, with NO WOT up-shifts at all. And it was cruising
    enriched rather than in closed-loop.
Plus the part-throttle 1-2 shifting was very harsh.
    All that, for $75
Well, Ryan wiped that, loaded the latest updated stock tune from GM, then adjusted everything
as per my requests. Very professional, excellent customer service.
You read this a lot, but in this case it's true: This is exactly how the truck should have been built
on GM's assembly line. It now drives exactly how a new one would if the 4.10:1 axle ratio was a
    factory option.

Ah but not the full floater in a 1/2 ton. Mismatched front and rear FTW. Praise Jesus.
