    Twist Tite fittings and hose?

Looking to order supplies to build my new fuel and transmission lines for my 5.3L swap in my 93 C1500. I thought about having some lines made by Fragola but it would probably cost more and a little more headache on my end trying to get them ordered...

I've been eyeballing the Summit Twist Tite fititngs and hose in the Summit catalog. What's everyones feelings on this? I understand its just a matter of pushing the hose on and your done. I remember having socket less Aeroquip before that works the same way (I didnt know) and I had it hose clamped. But I remember I had to cut it off the fittings with a razor knife.

The hose isn't quit as durable as stainless stuff but much cheaper and easier to work with. Then perhaps just slide some heat sleeve over the trans lines where they'll pass along the engine block and maybe on the fuel lines where they run down the back of the trans.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks.

Post a link of the fittings and hose; as long as it's impermeable to fuel/oils, holds up to 150psi min, and resists light abrasions and heat, you're probably good to go.

Oh ya, that's the same stuff Russell has and we use all the time. No need for clamps and once you push that hose on, it's never coming off.
Plus the hose is thick and will support any system on the vehicle.

    Definitely use it!

small tip: if it's anything like the russell blue hose and fittings, heat the end of the hose up because sometimes it can be a nightmare pushing them on.

Nice. Just what I was looking to hear. I'm ordering on the 23rd or 24th when the Russel 1/4 NPSM adapters come in stock at Summit (for the transmission).

    Thanks.

I used the Russel push on hose ends in my trans cooler install and they made it a breeze, the only thing I did was use a little lube on the hose to help it slide on.
