    New Curious Guy

Hey y'all my name is Xander and i currently drive a 2008 Pontiac G5 GT and am sick of driving a 4 cyl. car. I'm just looking for some information on trucks. I really want to get into a reg. cab 5.3 2000 silverado type body style.

I'm just looking for basic info. like how much can the engines handle? What are the Pros/Cons for a 5.3 vs. a 4.8? How much is involved in an engine swap for these trucks?(Can you do it with basic knowledge and the right tools?) I am 20 years old and am looking to see what everyone pays for insurance on their trucks?

Another idea i had was getting a mid 90's V6 truck and doing an engine swap for insurance purposes.

here's a few pics of my car.

how old are you, thats crazy lol. but then again 2 major tickets will do that to you. i've been lucky so far with tickets and getting them off my record. i've been driving since i was about 17 and 1/2 and i've gotten a total of like 4 speeding tickets and 3 or 4 other stupid tickets.
