Rear diff after a few mods

So I went to test drive my truck after installing a few things. Longtubes, cold air and e-fans. Went to my usual turn around spot backed out and didn't notice that I had pulled through a puddle. Stood on the gas and pop. Had to walk a half mile to get the four wheeler and the wife.

Luckily I have another G80 diff new in the box so cost will be minimal.

If I had to buy one I would definately upgrade. Since my buddy has a couple of backup G80 units, I am just going back with the G80 for now. It is going to the trans shop for servos and a converter on wednesday. Then back to the tuner. So that is my allowance for this month on the truck, LOL. More than anything I had not serviced the rearend yet, it only had a couple ounces of oil in it. LS1 and 20's are not a good combo for the Gov Bomb. am not usually the type to cheap out but I still havent decided on what gear I am going to run so I will do it right when I install a Tru-Trac.

Well the pinion was trashed so tru-trac ordered and 4:10 gears. With the new stall and other mods it should really wake it up. Now I have to make an appt to get it re-tuned and see what the changes do for power. Should have it back Thursday afternoon.
