i just had a message pop that said something to the effect of ''this website has been reported to contain a malicious virus!!! i don't care if my computer is going to blow up in my face I'm not leaving this site!!! i really know nothing about computers so if there are any questions i probably wont have an intelligent answer. i have kaspersky ant-virus so I'm not too worried but has this happened to anybody else?

sounds like you actually got a virus...and its telling you to get a different antivirus probably, which turns out to be yet another virus. and by that time, a phillipino kid has 4 credit cards in your name, the mortgage on your house is owned by some cayman bank, and the IRS is wanting to know how you can afford a G5 jet and a fleet of 20 GPS equipped snowmobiles with heated seats...

There are links in a certain section with links to GIF files. Those GIF files come from a website that attempts to take over your computer and steal data off of it. It happened on my computer and I'm not the least bit happy about it.

It's probably coming from one of the adds. Corvette Forum had the same problem about a year ago.
