Talking low end power in my tahoe

i own a 2004 4x4 chevy tahoe with roughly 75k on the odo. i am curious if a z06 cam or something of the likes will help my bottom end. it has no balls untill around 2300 rpm. don't wanna do anything major, as in a few months, i am looking to acquire a rscb to start toying with. just wanna add a little umph to my baby. and i'm new here, so please don't bash me

EDIT**** i know for that cam, i will have to change the valve springs, and have someone that is qualified to do all of this work that will offer any assistance if i need it

i don't think it needs gears, more of an awakening on the bootom end of the power range. as soon as it hits the 2300 rom range, it kinda puts you back a little. DON"T wanna do a gear swap/

a Z06 cam is more for top end
00 FRC - just top end, exhaust, and a hot-air intake
    99 Sierra - 5.3 / 5spd

the reason i don't want gears is because i like to drive 80 everywhere i go, and i don't want my mileage to suffer any worse than it already does. How much would a custom tune help the bottom end of the power range?

OK, so a few people i know have told me a converter out of a trailblazer would do good, along with a custom tune. some people have also mentioned the lockup speed. what exactly is lockup? i have a general idea, but want an exact idea. Figure if i'm gonna do this, might as well know what i'm doing. and how is changing the tc gonna change my highway driving?

Lockup up speed is controlled by the PCM. Inside the torque convertor are clutches. Inside the transmission is an electronic solenoid that will send fluid into the torque convertor clutch control passage to engage and lock the convertor clutches. Locking the clutches will make the transmission spin at a 1:1 ratio to the engine.

Changing the TC will not affect your highway driving or highway fuel mileage if your clutches are locking up in the convertor.
